7th Night

It`s STILL RAINING SEASON!!! which means, wet wet wet, e~~~~~~~verywhere in Nagano is soggy, mushy, muddy soil. Not to mention the meshed smell of frogs and….wet rice field together, just lovely. To my surprise that night, the Milky way looked as if it had fallen to the ground(not literally, but close enough!).

It was THAT clear, as if you can see all the stars that make up that galaxy.

Originally, I`ve always thought the Milky way was a roundish cluster of stars, boy…was I wrong.

It was like a bridge, that went from one end of the sky to the other side. Extremely beautiful and something that everyone should witness when they get the chance.

Unfortunately, we just bought a new camera and only had the lens that came with it. If only we had a wider lens, it would`ve been really something to capture on film.

There`s this story about a goddess (or fairy) that fell in love a cowherd boy. They end up living together on earth.

Later, the king of the gods found out and they were punished to live on opposite sides of each other of the Milky way.

It is only once a year on the 7th day of the 7th lunar month, a bridge is formed, made up of little celestial birdies for the couple to reunite for that day. Sad story.

Since its been raining none stop, this years Tanabata festival in this city has been pushed to a later date…BOOOOOO~~ but, understandable.
