Takato Joshi Castle’s Daytime Sakura
I was debating whether to make this a separate post or to join it with my last cherry blossom post from last weekend. So, I figured to make it easier for me and having it somewhat less confusing for others, maybe I might as well make this its own post. Here we go.
Takato Joshi Castle’s
I visited one of Japan’s most famous sakura viewing spots, Takato Joshi castle ruins (Ina city).
I was there last fall for autumn viewing, and I’m so glad I caught the spring viewing this year!.
The view here is breathtaking. The clusters of fluffy white/pink flowers, makes you just want to pick them (don’t do it though!, lol).
If you look up, all you see are puffy pink, cotton candy clouds. If you haven’t gone to Takato Joshi yet, you are really missing out.
At night time, every sakura trees illuminate. Personally, I wasn’t able to experience it at night, but from what I heard from friends and my husband, it’s magical. Unlike Matsumoto Castle sakura, there are food stalls available, picnic spots, and games set up mainly in the center of the park, and near the entrance into the park.
I forgot to bring my DSLR long (shame on me!), so please deal with these low quality, phone camera shots, lol (damn it).

you center yourself and clear your thoughts before writing.
I have had trouble clearing my thoughts in getting
my ideas out there. I truly do enjoy writing however it just seems like
the first 10 to 15 minutes are wasted just trying to figure out how to begin. Any recommendations or
hints? Many thanks!
